That question isn’t easily answered. Wind, just like solar, is a variable resource. The sun isn’t always at the perfect angle in a cloud-free sky. Likewise, the wind isn’t always blowing at the exact same speed. Power generation will fluctuate and be dependent on your environmental circumstances. Using a “buffer” such as an on-site storage system, will help maximize the amount of power available for use in a home. While one Harmony Turbine would likely not produce enough electricity to power a home, we believe it could noticeably offset a homeowner’s electrical costs. In the end it comes down to ROI (Return on Investment) and this is where every homeowner has to decide for themselves if something like a wind turbine is right for their unique situation.
We're excited to see the output potential as we move through ALPHA testing and into BETA testing. We'd love to make a difference in how individuals and communities view wind energy!
