Hi Everyone, exciting news! We took delivery of our 20 foot shipping container a few days ago and we’ve begun working on the logistics of how to safely mount our turbines to the roof of it. We engaged a local welder who coincidentally (or not? -Thank you Universe!) has a background in working with (repairing) shipping containers which will come in quite handy in our case! He had some great ideas about helping us ensure we had solid mountings for our container setup.
Another aspect of this project that we’re working on is LEVELING. We anticipate moving the shipping container around the business park we’re in, but what if we can’t find level ground? Or what if, as we move it around, the ground is leveled differently from location to location? We need our ALPHA units to be reasonably vertical even if the shipping container isn’t on level ground, so that’s the other cool feature of our design. An ingenious solution that allows for flexibility, as perfectly level ground will likely be hard to come by.
We will keep you posted as we move forward with setting up our ALPHA units at our new home base. Thank you for continuing to support us and follow our journey. Community investment is what’s carrying us through BETA testing and into early low-volume production. If you believe we’re headed in the right direction and would like to help us get through these final phases, please consider investing! You can learn more here: www.wefunder.com/HarmonyTurbines
