Folks, this is where the rubber meets the road, so to speak, and we wanted to share this exciting news with you! With our recent breakthroughs in the development of our own generator and charge controller, we’ve decided it’s time to start looking seriously at our first BETA sites.

Please understand, we are not YET ready to install one of our turbines at a BETA location, BUT we realize that properly preparing a BETA site could take some time.  So while we finish our development work with our ALPHA prototypes, we are simultaneously beginning the BETA site journey.

What does this mean? Well, there are many things to consider, unique to each location, before spooling up a BETA site including (but not limited to) where to install, what kind of support is needed, how far do wires need to be run, what kind of storage system voltage is needed, what type of inverter will be connected, how will the power be used from the storage system, monitoring the health of the system and the data from the turbine (yes our first sites will be required to have WiFi available), liabilities, insurances, permits, etc! And once those decisions are made, then the work has to happen. PHEW! That’s a lot and will surely take time to work through for each location.  So that’s why we’re starting those talks now. The information we glean from these first BETA sites will help to lay the groundwork for smooth installations going forward, whether BETA or later during production.

Our first BETA sites will be closer to home; we’ve already picked several locations to scope out and begin talks with. After those BETA sites are up and running and we’re happy with the setups, we plan to branch out to locations progressively further away from home. We will provide more information as we iron out the details of our very first BETA sites, so stay tuned!

We are thrilled to have reached this part of our Harmony Turbines journey and we hope you are too. This will not be an overnight thing, nor something that happens in a month. Finishing up our ALPHA design work and testing will still take time and so will finalizing and preparing our first BETA site locations.
