Hi everyone! There are 2 exciting things we’d like to share with you this week. 

BETA, BETA, BETA!
To kick things off, we FINALLY received permission to disclose where our first BETA site installation will be.  All along we’ve been saying it’s a “local university”. We’re excited to announce that it’s Penn State Harrisburg Campus!  We’ve been discussing BETA with them for many months and the Engineering department has now received the needed permissions to pursue this project. It will be several months before our BETA turbine is installed there, but we’ll keep you in the loop as we progress through this project.

The 2nd site we’re in talks with, as we’ve mentioned before, is another Penn State campus, the Berks campus.  They are still in the approval process so it’s not a confirmed site yet, but we’re working on it!

We were going to scope out a local homeowner’s site last week as our 3rd site, but weather didn’t allow us to follow through. This week we plan to scope it out, along with yet another homeowner’s property, which would potentially be our 4th BETA site.

Generator Core
We’ve been testing many different Epoxy resin brands over the past few months and we finally seem to have found one that we can move into BETA with. We proceeded with our first full generator core pour last week, and while we have a few things we need to work out with it, we believe this epoxy looks promising. It’s a special kind that has good thermal conductive properties and cures almost like glass or ceramic. Plus it’s black, which helps to protect our proprietary designs from other groups who might try to replicate our technology. This is a HUGE benefit when it comes to production!
